My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease many years ago and died in 2012. This is the reason I now arrange shows in aid of Alzheimer Scotland. My mum was an amazing intelligent lady and very proud.
Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia. The word dementia describes a set of symptoms that can include memory loss and difficulties with thinking, problem-solving or language. These symptoms occur when the brain is damaged by certain diseases, including Alzheimer's disease.
Everyone knows someone touched by this illness so let us work towards making life a little easier for Alzheimer sufferers and their family members.
